So I have Sony Vegas Pro 13 and its a fine program but it really doesn't work for editing film projects. If I needed to slam a news story together in under ten mins and meet goverment broadcast specs it would be fine. But all the high speed short cuts they did does work for editing films.
I reallylikeFinal Cut Pro HD from ten years ago. I used it every day to edit films and now that program has been all messed up but reworking it as a next step for iMovie users.
So the closest I can find is Preimer Pro CC. The only problem is tge never ending cost as you can only get it as a rental. What to do?

Down to 6 days until filming starts am I ready for filming? No. I seam to be more stressed out than normal. Hopefully in the next few days I can sort out all the behind the lens problems. The list seams to be growing instead of shrinking as normal
Money is really tight with no way to no way to barrow or sell off anything. Hopefully we revive more donations. If not that's okay I will do what I can with what we have to work with.
It's been an eventfully year with switching to HD and nothing really working correctly. The editing slash computer problems, the new HD camera seams to be a lemon. My freind Michael and I did a huge amount of research on hd camera and picked the best we could find but it has fallen short of reliability. Sony x160 looks good but it has allot of problems. Card slot a is still not working. I can't get it to record to an SXS card and the camera over heats and locks up.
The computer Mac Mini running Windows and Sony Vegas Pro seams to be distorying the sorce footage with missing frames of video and audio. Good thing I may four back up copies of all the footage or there would be no hope of finishing anything.
Anyways. Thanks for letting me bend your ear on my blog here. I'm sure everything will work out fine and the actors and parents will have very fawnd memories of working on the project as always. That's what I really try to work hard for. Just wish It got easier to Acheve each year instead of harder. Lol

So I'm fixing up my old tent trailer that I purchased last fall for $300. I have the lift system fixed and replaced so It goes up and down. I ended up buying a scrap trailer for the parts. What a night mare fixing that
Anyways now I'm replacing the floor. It was made out of the waffler board crap and now it will be all new plywood with new linoleum flooring.
The stuff I do to make sure the films look as good as possible and the actors as well. Lol. Please feel free to make a donation to The Simmer Project production. Every dollar counts. Www.sterlingproductions.ca

So I have been sanding for a few hours. I'm hoping to get the rest of the van painted by mid week. That will give the van about three weeks for the paint to harden and hopefully the actors won't chip the paint when we are filming The Summer Project.

So the one big prop this year is the 1986 dodge Van. It has a cracked exust manifold. I have a bunch of spare ones but they were the wrong ones. I did find one on a spare engine so I retrieved it. There was one small problem there was a bolt that snapped off and it needed. To be removed

I have been working with Sony Vegas Pro 13 for a few weeks now and it's so frustrating. It doesn't have the level of frame accuracy required to cut feature films. It must have been geared to quick edit news. I like my old Final Cut Pro 2005 I had for editing. It's really to bad that they made Final Cut into the next gen iMovie. Can't aford monthly payments for ever on Permiere Pro. I could go back to Avid at a huge cost. Any ideas anyone ?
