I am going to make a very large action adventure thriller this summer. Scouts vs Aliens. There will be a huge amount of effects in this film and an epic amount of things I have to build and props I need to find or build. The question now becomes do I tell every one all the behind the scenes stiff as it happens or wait until after the film is completed?
Personally I don't like to know anything about a film until I see it. I enjoy the film more that way. What are your thoughts? Please feel free to post a comment
Cathy Director was in class the other day and made a concept poster for the film that is in design almost spot on what I was thinking. We just need to add the actors ( the film has yet to be cast) and our original UFO design we are going to use in the film. I was going to post it here but I think it's best to wait until we have our spaceship designed.
Anyways I'm working on the script,a miniature model, casting, set designs and the very important fund raising required to make the film. Thank you everyone for your support because truly with out your support the film projects would never be possible.

It turned out to be $370 a year to rent the editing software as the Canadain dollar is so low to the US dollar now days. My plan is to save up cash to buy an Avid Editing System because renting anything is such a waste of money.

So I have Sony Vegas Pro 13 and its a fine program but it really doesn't work for editing film projects. If I needed to slam a news story together in under ten mins and meet goverment broadcast specs it would be fine. But all the high speed short cuts they did does work for editing films.
I reallylikeFinal Cut Pro HD from ten years ago. I used it every day to edit films and now that program has been all messed up but reworking it as a next step for iMovie users.
So the closest I can find is Preimer Pro CC. The only problem is tge never ending cost as you can only get it as a rental. What to do?

Down to 6 days until filming starts am I ready for filming? No. I seam to be more stressed out than normal. Hopefully in the next few days I can sort out all the behind the lens problems. The list seams to be growing instead of shrinking as normal
Money is really tight with no way to no way to barrow or sell off anything. Hopefully we revive more donations. If not that's okay I will do what I can with what we have to work with.
It's been an eventfully year with switching to HD and nothing really working correctly. The editing slash computer problems, the new HD camera seams to be a lemon. My freind Michael and I did a huge amount of research on hd camera and picked the best we could find but it has fallen short of reliability. Sony x160 looks good but it has allot of problems. Card slot a is still not working. I can't get it to record to an SXS card and the camera over heats and locks up.
The computer Mac Mini running Windows and Sony Vegas Pro seams to be distorying the sorce footage with missing frames of video and audio. Good thing I may four back up copies of all the footage or there would be no hope of finishing anything.
Anyways. Thanks for letting me bend your ear on my blog here. I'm sure everything will work out fine and the actors and parents will have very fawnd memories of working on the project as always. That's what I really try to work hard for. Just wish It got easier to Acheve each year instead of harder. Lol
